The Prelate's Beech commemorates the prelate Albert Wildauer, who promoted tourism on Lake Achen in the second half of the 19th century. He had the idea of setting up a passenger ship service on Lake Achen, founded the shipping company and had a ship built. He christened it St. Josef on June 27, 1887 and was also its first captain.
