Ebersberg had to complain after the First World War 84 fallen. To commemorate a lime tree was planted north of the city between 1929 and 1937 for each dead on the way to the Ludwigshöhe. Each linden tree received a name tag for a fallen one. The order is chronologically, according to the date of death, on the way from the city up to the pasture.
