To take the route 108a as an alternative ascent is rewarded with great views like here towards Lago d'Antorno and Lake Misurina. But beware, go up or down the path goes neatly in the legs.

Beautiful ascent/descent if you are on the Three Peaks. Partly quite steep, but never exposed or critical and there are also lots of marmots here.
