Around 1750 a small chapel was built on the Lindenberg near Gerblingerode (Gerblingeröder Klus). When a cholera epidemic broke out in Gerblingerode about 100 years later, the parishioners vowed to hold an annual procession to the Klus. The procession was held annually until 1945. After the border was drawn it fell into disrepair and was demolished in the 1960s during the GDR era. Today, wooden crosses, a portrait of Our Lady and a prayer area are reminiscent of the chapel.
