The church is mentioned as early as 1609. It was destroyed by a lightning strike, rebuilt by 1709 using older walls and Benedicted on February 22, 1709. Between 1732 and 1734 an extension was built in the rear area of the church, the sacristy was also added and the church tower removed. Today the church is a hall church with a hipped roof and a retracted choir closed on three sides. Inside, the church has a flat coffered ceiling and baroque furnishings.
