The place is about twelve kilometers northwest of Schwarzenbek. From 1887 to 1976, Dahmker was a railway station on the Schwarzenbek–Bad Oldesloe railway.
Blazon: "In gold, a curved green tip, inside a golden heraldic lily, at the top right a slanted green oak leaf, at the top left two green frames with a gable roof."
The inscription on the memorial stone from 1977 has faded badly and urgently needs to be replaced
