The Hahnheide is a beautiful nature reserve of approximately 1,500 hectares near Trittau in the Stormarn Switzerland region. Here you'll find wonderful stands of old-growth pines, beeches, and spruces.

The forest is dominated by the "Lange Otto" (Long Otto). From this observation tower, you have an impressive view over the Stormarn Switzerland region. The 27-meter-high tower stands atop the 99-meter-high "Großer Hahnheider Berg" (Great Hahnheide Hill). On a clear day, you can even spot the Hamburg TV tower in the distance.
