The yellow cross was not originally intended for beach visitors, but primarily for seafarers in Danish waters. It is a kind of road sign. Yellow buoys with a cross at the top are so-called special markings. They are used to mark special objects or areas. These may not be crossed by boats and ships. The yellow crosses are also a warning for beach visitors and bathers. They indicate dangers in the water, such as half-sunken bunkers or dangerous currents. If you see yellow crosses on the beach, you should definitely not go into the water here. Find a stretch of beach a few hundred yards away. (Source: klitly.de/2022/10/hvad-er-det-gelbe-kreuze-am-daenischen-strand/)

You can see what people are capable of by looking at the many bunker ruins from World War II. May the ruins serve as a warning, so that peace may reign!
