A great segment on Cinder Track - wide, easy to run, and lots of shade from the trees if you are running on a particularly sunny and hot day. On the way, the village of Staintondale to the west will offer a good place to stop and have food.
Cinder Track is a disused railway, which used to run between Scarborough and Whitby from 1886 to 1965. It is now popular with runners, walkers and cyclists.
