The "Old Church" in Wenigumstadt was built in 1719 on the foundations of an earlier fortified church. However, since it is standing on damp ground, it was in poor structural condition a short time later. It was not until 1900 that agreement was reached on a new location and the current church was built, whereby the entablature of the old church tower was used for cost reasons.

In the old church is now the fire brigade of Wenigumstadt. The hose tower represents a church tower.
