This urban redevelopment project is located between Garibaldi station and the Isola dove district. This area was once occupied by the Varesine, an amusement park built towards the end of the sixties. The redevelopment project began in 2004 and lasted for a decade, at the time it was the largest construction site in all of Europe. Many famous architects took part in the design of the various buildings that make up this urban nucleus. Among the buildings is the Biblioteca degli Alberi park, an area of 90,000 square meters which is home to 450 varieties of trees.
