The Galgenweel is the largest semi-natural brackish water lake in Flanders, located on the Left Bank in Antwerp. The lake, which is approximately 40 hectares in size, was created by a dike breach and is connected to the Zeeschelde via a drainage structure. As a result, it remains a brackish water lake.Source: artesgroup.be/werven/galgenweel-antwerpen
