The Sart-Tilman Open Air Museum (French: Musée en plein air du Sart-Tilman) is a sculpture museum on the campus of the Sart-Tilman (University of Liège) in the province of Liège. The museum has a collection of 156 works.
As early as 1961, the architect André Jacqmain considered decorating the campus with sculptures. He was joined in this by the chief architect Claude Strebelle, who collaborated with the artist Pierre Culot, resulting in his monumental Mur de pierre d'âge viséen. The museum was officially founded in 1977. For this, the University of Liège worked together with the then Ministry of Culture, which later transferred responsibility to the French Community of Belgium.
The museum is engaged in research and conservation and focuses on contemporary sculpture. The works were mostly created during the existence of the museum, although some older works were also acquired. They mainly come from the French-speaking part of Belgium, but there is also work by Flemish and foreign artists.
