Since July 29th, 2005 there is the information pavilion "Red Box" in the "Regional Embassy Garden Nasses Dreieck". The pavilion is designed in the form of a sluice and from the viewing platform you have a wonderful view of the "Wet Triangle" - the canal triangle of the Dortmund-Ems Canal and the Mittelland Canal.

Various information boards provide the visitor with interesting facts about the canals, about canal construction and also about sights in the town of Hörstel. The tables are available here as a PDF file for you to download.

Even when it rains, you have the opportunity to enjoy the view over the Wet Triangle in peace.

If you drive over the bridge at the wet triangle you will inevitably pass the Red Box

Where the Mittelland Canal and the Dortmund-Ems Canal meet, the so-called "Wet Triangle," stands the "Red Box," a striking vantage point. The information lock on the lock peninsula and the listed Bergeshöved Lock are also located here.

In the elongated metal body—a symbolic motif of a lock—visitors can find interesting information on the history and technology of the canals, as well as information about the town of Hörstel, on picture and text panels.
