The old town of Spangenberg used to be surrounded by a city wall with nine city towers and gates. The only completely preserved tower is the Owl Tower. It was completely renovated in 1981 and has a pitched roof. It is accessible via a wooden staircase and offers visitors a wonderful view of the old town and the surrounding area from a platform. You can get the key from the tourist and city information office in the Altstadtresidenz, Rathausstraße 7.
