Deep in Thuringia, picturesquely situated between Langula, Niederdorla and Großengottern, you will find the Seehausen dam. At the end of the 1970s, the Singelbach was dammed in order to provide water for irrigation in the vegetable fields in the Unstrut region. The area around the dam is protected as a landscape conservation area.

The Seebach Dam impounds the Singelbach stream in the Unstrut river basin. It was built between 1974 and 1976 and commissioned in 1977. It consists of a main dam and a secondary dam.
