The Fortress of Saint James of Sesimbra (also known as the Fortress of Santiago) is a fortress located in the parish of Santiago in the coastal town and municipality of Sesimbra, in the Setúbal District of Portugal. It was built between 1642 and 1648 on the site of an earlier 16th-century Manueline fort.

The Santiago Fortress has been part of the Sesimbra community for 365 years. It was built at a time when danger came from the sea and maritime borders had to be defended. However, the course of history has caused it to lose its defensive preponderance.
In 2016, the Santiago Fortress received the largest project ever dedicated to the space: the Sesimbra Maritime Museum, which presents the history of the sea, fishing and the fishing community from the earliest times to the present day.
