Great simple via ferrata which is partly secured with wire ropes. But you should only go up here if you are absolutely free of vertigo and very sure-footed.
I'm up here with my blind dog, but used to climbing with harness and safety. With a dog that can safely climb this trail is also good to master.
But I would like to say that climbing with a dog is not without danger!

Uphill absolutely awesome. Nothing for sneakers, hiking boots are required. A head for heights absolutely necessary, in winter also alpine experience necessary. Can be very windy. Many are also traveling there with dogs. Here is obediently absolutely indispensable. Downhill probably a lot harder and more exhausting.

Strenuous but very nice way. Safe and free from dizziness but you should be.

Nice views, well secured. That's fun. Caution in wet weather: very slippery.

The rope-insured hiking trail "Hohe Gang" allows the hiker wonderful views of the Zugspitze massif. The way is recommended only for experienced, vertigo-free hikers.

We went the ferrata with dog at the beginning of October - but uphill. In the descent, I would choose the route to the Ehrwalder Alm, because it is very steep, rocky and sometimes slippery ... which can be quite adventurous in the ascent, but in the descent can be life-threatening. Our dog likes to climb, listen to verbal signals, was secured with a leash and has done very well overall. Fortunately, we did not have any oncoming traffic (that's another number).I do not really want to recommend the "high gear" with a dog, but a good human-dog-team experiences a great path with the best view :)

Just beautiful the view! But man has to do something for it ...

Wonderful ascent with a few technical but fun sections; defintely manageable for experienced hikers (no climbing equipment necessary). When we visited in October 2019, the route was actually closed off due to a small section which has crumbled down. We did manage to find a way around though. I wouldn't recommend this climb in wet weather as the rocks can get quite slippery. Along the climb you're treated on stunning views across the valley and the surrounding mountains.

A great rod ... not unique.
We did on 19.04.2019 ... we did not inform us so well. But it was smooth ... very difficult with about 70 cm.
But our strong will has defeated.
    But not for our people.

Via ferrata category A / B, works very well without a via ferrata set if you are practiced. Mountain boots are a must!
Sometimes you climb very steeply up the mountain, the path is almost entirely secured with wire rope. Two places are provided with iron clips, with the help of which larger differences in height to the "next rock" can be overcome more easily.
There are many places where you can stand securely and take a short breath.
Overall, a very beautiful and easy via ferrata if you have already undertaken mountain hikes a few times and have no problem with height, climbing and almost vertical passages.

Very nice and varied sure-footedness and a head for heights required.

The Hoher Gang via ferrata begins at the Gaisbach near Ehrwald and extends in the upper, steep area to just before the Seebense.

Via ferrata set is not required in good weather. The climb is very well secured and the view is a dream. Really recommendable.

Really only for those with a head for heights! In return, grandiose views hundreds of meters down to Ehrwald. Only partially secured with steel cables!

Very nice climb and also very suitable for beginners. Of course, mountain boots are very advisable here, fear of heights should not be present and surefootedness should be present.

The "high gear" is partly steep and bumpy. We got a 40kg Doberman pin up so it's still doable.
