The 9th-century Hindu temple of Selogriyo may not be particularly large, but its setting amidst mountains and rice fields is a dream.
Once you get to the village, you'll have to leave your vehicle behind and walk the 2km uphill; from here on, only the locals will be riding mopeds on the narrow paths. Be sure to stop for a coffee about 400m before the finish; they'll take their time brewing it.
Definitely a very relaxing alternative to Borobudur and Brambanan if you're exploring the surrounding area from Yogyakarta; the 50k entrance fee is perfectly acceptable.
