The "Höxter Railway Bridge" is part of the "Eggebahn" Paderborn-Altenbeken-Ottbergen-Holzminden-Kreiensen, which will be operated hourly by Nordwestbahn (2024). Originally double-tracked, the section of the line was an important through connection from the Ruhr area to Berlin. Reconstructed as a single track, it is still used for local transport.
