The Seeve is a 42 km long, left tributary of the Elbe in northern Germany. The municipality of Seevetal owes its name to this river.

The Seeve rises southeast of the Undeloh farmstead Wehlen in the Lüneburg Heath nature reserve. The first barrage is in Holm, where the river drives the Holmer Mill and a sawmill until the 1970s. Other places on its way are Lüllau, Jesteburg, Bendestorf, Ramelsloh.

It then flows past Lindhorst, Hittfeld, Karoxbostel and Glüsingen.
From the underpass west of the Maschen marshalling yard, it flows partly channeled as the Seevekanal towards Harburg for the purpose of supplying cooling water to the Harburg Phoenix works, but mostly continues through the village of Hörsten and the “Untere Seeveniederung” nature reserve and flows between Rosenweide (municipality of Stelle) and Over (municipality of Seevetal) at the “Seevehaus” through the Seevesiel into the Elbe.
