The Peter Huchel House has been a memorial and house of literature since 1997. Peter Huchel, a German poet of the 20th century, lived here for almost 20 years. Huchel's public perception is also based on his work as the first editor-in-chief of "Sinn und Form", the magazine of the Berlin Academy of Arts, which was based in the building. Today the house is a museum and venue.
