Best Hikes to Bärenbrucher Wasserlauf and Bärenbrucher Teich

Tips

  • The Bärenbrucher watercourse is an approximately 940 meter long water tunnel that begins here at the Bärenbrucher pond and ends at the Pixhaier pond, at the southeast end of the pond dam there.
The watercourse was only created between 1947 and 1949, long after the mining era, and is therefore the youngest structure in the “Upper Harz Water Shelf” cultural monument.
