Puits-Marie is one of two pits of the Blegny mine, a former coal mine in the province of Liège in Belgium. During the Second World War, the tower of Puits n°1 was destroyed and extraction continued via Puits-Marie, although the pace slowed considerably. From 1942 to 1948, the tower of Puits n°1 and the triage lavoir were rebuilt and production continued to grow. Today you will find the permanent exhibition here.
