The first mention of the work dates from 1831, but the beginning of mining is already assumed for the 18th century (around 1750). The production in the lime works with quarry and the two adjacent shaft furnaces ran until 1924, then it was discontinued because of unprofitability.
The two lime kilns are the only preserved in the Bohemian part of the Ore Mountains.
