Located in Montefiascone, Italy, the Cathedral of San Margherita is a former Roman Catholic cathedral dedicated to Saint Margaret of Antioch, the city's patron saint. It has one of the largest domes in Italy and is visible from most towns in the Viterbo area. The cathedral, originally built in the 15th and 16th centuries, also contains the tomb of Cardinal Marco Antonio Barbarigo.Behind the church of Santa Margherita is the Crypt of Santa Lucia Filippini. This crypt, with a very strict architectural layout, houses the body of Santa Lucia Filippini in the tomb under the altar. Two marble high reliefs by the sculptor Dante Ruffini adorn the altar, with the right relief showing Santa Lucia Filippini raising young people. The crypt has an important place in the history of Montefiascone, with improvements made by Bishop Luigi Boccadoro in 1962.
