This was part two of the hike and, for some reason, the Komoot map doesn't agree with the signposts indicating the way back to Bahnhof Breitenstein so i Had an interesting time trying to re-join the walk which was rather elusive!

I had to record the walk in two parts as, for some reason Komoot wouldn't let me pause the hike while I stopped at Speckbacherhütte for coffee and Apfelstrudel. God, walking through the alpine woods is heavenly. A wonderful walk.

I turned off Komoot tracking once I'd got up onto the Raxalpe because I knew the way down (via Karl Ludwig Hütte) very well so the actual route is a lot longer than shown and probably takes 4 hours. This route is quite tough but having had two new knees in April I wanted to see if I could manage it

I haven't done this hike since 2015 as I moved away from the area. I used to love going up the ladder and seeing the whole Raxalp and the Heukuppe before me. With two new knees, and many years older, I will be revisiting my youthful adventure playground in the next few weeks (depending on weather).
