The Minoan Palace of Kato Zakros is one of four in Crete - the most famous being Knossos. The palasate dates from between 1600 and 1550 BC. It was destroyed in 1450 and never rebuilt.
However, there is not much to see here, so the entrance fee of €6 is a bit high.
