Tips
German World War II field battery on the site of a former brickworks. Together with the 'field battery Leffinge' it formed part of an advance line of the Atlantic Wall (1942-1944). The 'Stützpunktgruppe Oostende' was responsible for the defense of the port city towards the interior. Artillery casemates, bunkers, trenches and obstacles have been preserved on the site.
