The thief's tower was built in the 15th century as part of the city wall. The thieves' tower not only had the character of an equipped bastion, but was primarily an observation tower. The tower watchman who had to guard the city day and night lived on it. In the basement of the tower there was a dungeon for criminals and thieves.
