Bohinj Cycling Trail / Bohinjska kolesarska pot
The cycling trail connecting the Lower and Upper Bohinj Valleys takes us past numerous natural and cultural attractions in Bohinj.
The beautiful cycling trail through the Lower and Upper Bohinj Valleys will not disappoint you. In the past, there were plans to build a railway in Bohinj that would connect the two valleys, but the railway was never built. Following the original plans, a beautiful cycling trail was built in Bohinj in 2011, winding along the left bank of the Sava Bohinjka in the Lower Bohinj Valley and through the picturesque alpine villages in the upper valley. Entry points for the cycling trail can be found in Bohinjska Bistrica, Brod, Pri Savica, Stara Fužina, Studor and Srednja vasa. The trail is mostly asphalted and suitable for all types of bikes.
