Cycling

The coal mine formed the western border of the Ruhr district and was shut down at the end of 2001. For more information see de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeche_Niederberg
Couple photos mainly from Waschkaue and coal washing shortly after the shutdown attached. Nice bike path around the area.
Today, the site is being reused primarily with multi-family homes.
