    Mountaineering

the highest mountain standing entirely on Swiss soil. The normal route, with its many crevasses and steep climbs, is almost as demanding as the Festigrat, which features brittle rock and ice climbing with a gradient of 55°.

    Mountaineering

At 4,546 meters, the Dom is the highest mountain entirely on Swiss soil and, as the highest peak in the Mischabel Group, the most prominent point in the third-highest Alpine massif after Mont Blanc and Monte Rosa (Dufourspitze). Both the normal route and the Festigrat are demanding (the former requires physical fitness, the latter requires technical skill).
