The memorials of the Brothers Grimm have also been largely preserved in Marburg an der Lahn. Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm shared a room with the merchant Heckmann in the half-timbered house at Barfüßerstraße No. 35 on the corner of Wendelgasse, which is still intact today, and in 1886 - donated by a godfather of the Grimm brothers (Ferdinand Bang) from Goßfelden Plaque was placed in her honor.

Marburg is always worth a visit. The fairytale city is so lovingly designed and the old town is beautiful. Due to the many stairs you have to be fit. The Grimm brothers found this too exhausting
