The Überleiter 11, also known as the Ilse Canal, is an artificially created waterway in the Oberspreewald-Lausitz district in southern Brandenburg. It stretches over a length of 1,197 meters and connects the Großräschener See with the Sedlitzer See. The canal includes a 186 meter long tunnel that passes under the railway lines and the federal highway 169. The canal is intended for shipping and will be navigable once the lakes reach their final flood level in 2025. There are maintenance roads along the canal that are accessible to pedestrians and cyclists, as well as bridges for bicycle and pedestrian traffic at both ends of the canal.

Something is developing here. There is a great bicycle hostel in Sedlitz.

It's amazing what has been built for this beautiful area. Beautiful cycle paths around the lakes.
