The Sedlitzer See is an artificially created lake near Senftenberg in Brandenburg. It was created by open-cast lignite mining and is now a popular local recreation area. The lake covers an area of around 13 square kilometers and is not only popular with water sports enthusiasts, but also as a rest stop on hikes and bike tours.
