This new smooth traffic free path now runs next to the A27. This particular section links Berwick with Polegate but the entire path runs all the way to Firle from Polegate.

Although you can hear the hum of the main road, it's an excellent cycleway with fabulous views of the downs. It feels very segregated from the main road with only a few sections where you can see the traffic.
