Wilmington is most famous for the remarkable hill figure, the Wilmington Long Man, carved into the hillside to the south of the village. It also contains the ruins of the Benedictine Wilmington Priory, a Grade I-listed building.

However, it is also a great base for any number of fantastic hikes. With the chalk escarpment of the South Downs rising to the south, as well as the many trails of Friston Forest, not to mention the beautiful Wilmington Wood to the north, you're truly spoilt for choice.
