    Hiking

Barns Cliff End stands at an elevation of 223m (732ft) and provides an unrivalled vantage point that offers an unobstructed panorama of the breathtaking Langdale Valley.

Heavily forested slopes rise from the depths of the valley, creating an idyllic tableau that beckons for a moment's pause. It's a pretty steep climb to the top here, but the views make it all worthwhile.

    Hiking

Great views over High Moor and Harwood Dale to the north, and Langdale Rigg End to the west prominently stands out, but to get to that you will need to descend into Hingles and Stony Woods, immediately below you, and cross the River Derwent.
