A day with very different scenery. I felt like cycling from village to village rather than through more remote mountains. The cycling was pretty good though, on good gravel roads and nothing very steep. I'm staying the night at a bivouac area, at least I'm assuming that's what it is. There's camping signs and picnic tables, but it is pretty cold here today.

After a day of rest I was excited to cycle back into the mountains. The morning was cloudy with light rain every now and then but the cycling was easy over nice gravel roads following a river. After lunch the more serious climbing began, but still quite doable as the route followed a really good gravel road skirting a mountain. Will be spending the night in an olive grove with permission from the farmer. 😊

An easier ride today as the passes are less steep and there are more roads and gravel roads today. A muddy section through a valley sure tired me out though. The end of the day was not how I liked it as camping was not possible where I had intended as the terrain was really rough and exposed and once I reached the valley it was all private fenced land with orange trees and too many houses around. I ended up camping just off the road around the corner of the village Forna.

Today felt again slightly better than the last two. The pass was very steep so more hiking up than cycling, but stunning views all around. Now pitched up for the night underneath olive trees. It looks like it's going to be a chilly night!
