It is an old chamber grave about 6 meters long and 2 meters wide.
Apparently it is supposed to be a family grave. During a probably rather haphazard excavation, the remains of eleven skeletons and a stone battle ax were found. However, based on the finds, no information about the age of the grave could be made, according to information from various literature.

If you follow the narrow path from the Eilumer Horn to the stone crate grave you will find that the signs / directions here leave something to be desired. So here is a little hint for orientation. The path itself may not be recognizable as a hiking trail at all, and the actual signpost to the stone box grave only takes place directly at the junction
