This section is located in the 'Aiguilles Rouges Nature Reserve' characterized by steep slopes and a spectacular array of flora. From the moraines to the glaciers, a multitude of plants have adapted to the extreme living conditions.
Created in 1974, the Aiguilles Rouges nature reserve covers an area of 3,300 hectares and peaks at between 1,200 m and 2,965 m.
