The parish church was rebuilt between 1753 and 1757. Interestingly, the previous church was not in Streitberg, but in Niederfellendorf, which was much older and more important in the Middle Ages, on the grounds of the cemetery.
"The church in Niederfellendorf was built in the time of Charlemagne; the mother church of the church in Niederfellendorf and Ebermannstadt, however, is the monastery in Pretzfeld, which was one of the Slavic churches and was under the jurisdiction of the monastery.
According to the report of Pastor Traumüller (1807-1814), the patron saint of the old church was Saint Michael, a claim that also seems to be supported by the church fair that still takes place on the Sunday before Michaelmas."

The current Evangelical Trinity Church in Streitberg stood until 1757 in Niederfellendorf on the ground of the still existing cemetery. Visible from afar, the church structure stands out from the interesting ensemble of houses in the center of Streitberg and can therefore also be seen from the viewing platform of the Streitburg ruins.
