The manorial vineyard house “Garten-Bellvedere” was built in 1888, as a sign on the neighboring vineyard house reveals. The following inscription can be found there about this historic vineyard cottage:

“The elaborate vineyard houses that were built in the 18th and 19th centuries testify to the prosperity of the Wengert people. An example of this is the small villa in Gewann Obere Ried, a stone building with a heated banquet room for ten to 20 people. A pergola arches over the terrace. This vineyard house with striking architecture, size and high-quality interior is an example of the earlier Heilbronn private autumns, which have now become rare.”

Note: The year 1513 mentioned by Chrissss above refers to the oldest Heilbronn vineyard house that still exists today, which is in a different location - but also below the Wartberg.

The cottage has been around for several years, it was built in 1513. It stands empty and the windows are nailed up.

On the route from the "historic Wengertshäusle" over the "Sattel", the Heilbronner Keuperweg to the reed sand quarry, you always have a wonderful view over Heilbronn, to the Heuchelberg and Stromberg.
