Without right angles, a single fluid, soft movement, which in Pietro Consagra's intentions should have become a work of Frontal Architecture, a theater open to the territory, a living and inhabitable sculpture, with curved and continuous planes, which communicated compactness. Consagra started the construction of the Gibellina Theater in 1989, more than twenty years after the earthquake that destroyed the Belìce, but the project was never completed and the structure remained unfinished, enormous, becoming a solitary symbol, impossible to forget. A series of close-up photos have been installed under the arches of the theatre.

The Consagra Theater in Gibellina is a 1984 project, begun, interrupted and now without an intended use. Completed in the structural part only in 2016, it remains today as a sculptural object, entirely in concrete, where it is difficult to imagine the original functions. It is now an unfinished construction site with waiting irons still uncovered.

A gigantic structure. Unfortunately, it was never completed. The black and white portraits are particularly noteworthy.
