The small open-air building defines the head of a block of the new Gibellina towards the street, entirely rebuilt after the 1968 earthquake.
Like a house among houses, unfinished or partially ruined, it transforms into a garden due to the different play of light and shadows determined by the absence of the roof. The co-presence of buildings not yet completed and what remains of other buildings determines a feeling of time of cyclical inevitability, of a time in a helical shape. And the innermost walls are arranged in the form of a square spiral, in which five bare arches from the ruins of the old Gibellina are reassembled, in turn walled in by the curved wall that follows the profile of the sidewalk.
