In the middle of nowhere is a memorial stone to Wilhelm Kleißer, who was obviously a gifted hiker from Wehr and liked to visit the Hotzenwald. The view from this point down towards the weir is a gold jewel.
As a paraglider pilot, this drew my attention to how well the sun heats the air in this bulge of the terrain. There are certainly good thermal bubbles that can be used here, which I will use in the near future.
