This place on the Vogelsangbach is ideal for a picnic, as it is under secluded trees right on the stream. There are several benches as seating and there are also containers for waste disposal.

Sometimes it's worth reading. Here is a kind of educational trail with many fold-out books where interesting things are conveyed. Especially interesting for children.

"... The Rinderbach (GKZ 27698), also called Vogelsangbach after the Heiligenhauser residential area and today's Vogelsang district, is an 11.7 km long, orographically left tributary of the Ruhr.
The stream rises in Velbert at an altitude of 238 m above sea level. NN. From here, the Rinderbach or Vogelsangbach initially flows in a northwest and westerly direction. It is dammed into a lake near Abtsküche and passes the Heiligenhauser town center on the northern edge of the town. Here the course turns north. At Kettwig in front of the bridge the Rinderbach flows into the river at 37 m above sea level. NN into the Ruhr. ..."
