Lake Miramar is a reservoir owned by the City and fed by the Colorado River and California Aqueduct. You can enjoy the peaceful calm of the lake along with views of Miramar, Mira Mesa, and University City here. It's a popular spot for fishing, picnicking, and hiking the loop trail around the lake.

A small but pretty lake you can fish on. The trail that wraps around it's edge allows you to go all the way around. It's a mix of paved and natural surface. Definitely a worthwhile visit, especially if you haven't been here before.

Road cycling

This spot from the access road offers an awesome view of Lake Miramar. The paved loop trail and access road around Lake Miramar offers great views of the lake with a little bit of tree coverage. Walkers and runners use the path, too, so be aware of other users if you are a bit quicker of a rider.
