The Hof ter Musschen, or "Ferme des Sparrows" is a real vestige of the agricultural past of the outskirts of Brussels. Site dating from the 19th century and consisting of a farm, a windmill, a bakehouse and a 10-hectare green space classified Natura 2000, the area will see its activity decline over time due to the expansion of the city and the consequent reduction of agricultural land.

The site's flagship element, the 18th century windmill, originally from Tournai and dedicated to the production of flour, was doomed to destruction following the arrival of much more productive flour mills. Doctor Duthoit, a professor at the ULB and a true enthusiast, acquired it in the 1930s and moved it to Hainaut. On his death, his heirs donated it to the municipality of Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, finding refuge in its current location.
